We specialise in bespoke tailoring such as making men's and ladies' suits, as well as dressmaking, made to measure curtains and in addition, a full range of alterations services.

All you need to do is drop off your garment at The Riverside Tailors and we will take care of it.
Normally for small alterations jobs you do not have to book an appointment. However, for the made to measure services including suits restyling and refitting men's suits, wedding dresses and bridal wear alterations an appointment is recommended, as these fittings may take some time.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?
The time needed to complete an order is dependent on the task at hand and can vary from time to time. We do prefer to be given sufficient time to finish your garment to a high standard. However, we do still offer same day/next day alterations service for those who are always Last-Minute People!
If you’re looking for an alteration service then you should be looking at the minimum of three days but if you’re looking for a 'Made to Measure' garment then you could be looking at weeks.
BESPOKE TAILORING
We have a 'Made to Measure' tailoring service that includes quality bespoke suits for men and women. This can be with fabric that you provide yourself or fabric ordered through us. Similarly we offer a service of which we can copy the pattern of your favorite garment and make as many copies of the garment as you wish, in whatever colour or fabric you would like! However, if there’s a garment you desire which is only available in your head as a drafted idea, please get in touch,we will help translate it into reality. Free consultation appointment for everyone one is welcome, fashion students, young and professional designers as well as businesses all are welcome.

With Wedding Dresses, Bridesmaid Dresses, and Prom dresses coming in almost daily, you could say we've attacked every problem a bridesmaid or prom go-er could possibly come across. With a huge increase in women buying online now as opposed to buying in person, it has drawn many dissatisfied women to our shop. While buying online is a more convenient and cheaper way of buying garments, it is not a safe buy. Many women will come in with their dresses far too big or small, too short or long, poorly made, doesn't fit, match the style or needs a new fastening. We have really seen it all. We are very fortunate to be partnered with a team of Leather repair specialists with expert equipment to allow us to offer a wider range of alteration services. We welcome all kinds of leather garments from handbags, motorcycle suits, leather jackets, gloves, seat covers or boot repairs. Whether it be replacing a broken zip or strap, repairing a hole, dying a garment or just adjusting to a better fit, we welcome you.
Home Visits
We are proud to offer a free home visiting service as part of our convenient way of working, this means that having your clothing fitted will be even less hassle in your busy day without losing out on quality or service. Our alterations to any clothes mean that your old outfits can once again be your favorites and our made to measure clothing gives you a real chance to express your tastes as well as to have clothes that fit comfortably for once. There is a minimum order for these services please contact us to find out. Elderly and Disabled customers are welcome to benefit from this service for free of charge.
